Supplier Diversity and Minority Business

The Unites States has made great strides in recognizing the value and importance of diversity in the business community in the past century. However, there is still some inequity in the U.S. business world. As a result, there are a wide variety of opportunities available for minority owned, female owned, veteran owned or small or disadvantaged business enterprises.

We recognize the importance of a diverse business community and have the knowledge and experience to support those who want to form, finance, operate or expand a diverse business.

Becoming a certified women-owned, minority or small disadvantaged business can assist your business with gaining access to government contracts. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, the government began a supplier diversity program, offering minority-owned businesses, businesses owned by women, LGBT-owned businesses, and disability-owned businesses special access to opportunities to bid on government projects.

With many of our active lawyers having 30 years of experience, we have an extensive understanding of supplier diversity. Businesses have to meet a rigorous set of guidelines to qualify for these projects. In general, your business must be over 50 percent owned, operated, managed and controlled by women, minorities, members of the LGBT community or the disabled. Your business must be independent and operate its principal business in the United States.

The certification process can be lengthy, but our attorneys have the experience necessary to grant your business the appropriate certification.

We can wade through the complex legal jargon to find out what path your business must take and help you to document the necessary structure for your certification. Our lawyers can review your application before it is submitted and, if necessary, respond to any feedback you receive about your application.

Whether you are planning a startup or you already operate an established woman-owned, minority or small disadvantaged business, the McCabe Law Group can guide you through the process to cement your business’s future.

Our lawyers work closely with our clients to achieve the best results. We answer our own phones, personally return your calls, and keep you involved in the certification process every step of the way
